Video is optimized for broadband access. Wide-angle lenses used to record video straighten the curves out. For a truer sense of twistiness watch the mirror dip .
It’s difficult to resist the temptation of a road that has twisties so good,
they’re given a bad name. The Seven Devils are a demonic set of S-curves found
on the best stretch of this route up from the Methow Valley, across the remote
vastness of the Okanogan National Forest and down into the Okanogan Valley.
And thank God for them, since the moderate number of remaining, unnamed curves
on this DH are... well, downright saintly. But with sublime Remoteness,
providential Pavement and heavenly Engineering, this piece of the great Hwy 20
across northern Washington is definitely a high-speed bit of Eden. Unless, of
course, Beelzebub, disguised in earthly raiment as a speed tax collector,
enters Paradise and desecrates your devil-may-care journey. If you’re impious
enough to be stopped by the Sacrilegious One, just tell him the Devils made
you do it.
